U.F.O! BREWING
Welcome to U.F.O! Brewing, the newest (fictitious) watering hole in the heart of alien country - Roswell, New Mexico - specializing in their own refreshing brand of Unfiltered, Fruity, and Organic brews to help combat that brutal desert heat. One sip will make you a believer.
For this project, I was brought on to create a logo for signage and merchandise; custom illustrations for their beer selections, and contribute to the development of the restaurant’s brand and image as a quirky yet welcoming brewery.
Both humans and (friendly) extraterrestrials are welcome!
Logo Design
I was brought on to create a logo for the brewery that would really POP when seen from a distance - bright colors, easy-to-read fonts, and with a touch of kitsch. Taking inspiration from the town of Roswell itself, known around the world as one of the biggest tourist locations for alien aficionados, I leaned into the company name and vibrant locales to create an eye-popping and versatile logo that can be used on signage, packages, coasters, shirts, and stickers.
Flavorful Illustrations
Finally, the client requested an adaptable illustrative design that could be used to distinguish between their four proprietary flavors: Blueberry Black Hole, Interplanetary Pineapple, Supermassive Strawberry, and Galactic Grapefruit. These designs would be placed on signs around the brewery, on labels, and even on bottle caps, so simplicity was key. Given this was the U.F.O. brewery in Roswell, I knew it had to involve aliens. After some trial and error, I went with the traditional alien because their big noggins would be the perfect size to fit whatever fruit the beer is flavored with, allowing for easy adaptability for whatever out-of-this-world flavors the brewery thinks up next.
